Northern Division

Welcome

Welcome to the Freemasons New Zealand Northern Division website. The Northern Division comprises ten Districts with a combined total of 98 Lodges in an area that covers from North Cape to Taupo. The Officers of the Divisional Grand Lodge provide oversight and support for the districts, which in turn support the Lodges.

Live Life Lighter

Live Life Lighter is a programme which is focused on good health through managing body weight, a critical factor in so many of our chronic illnesses and causes of death in New Zealand – principally, diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer. Freemasons New Zealand, in partnership with Diabetes NZ, the Stroke Foundation, Cancer Society and Heart Foundation, are actively promoting awareness of this key issue. Freemasons – your Lodges can help by becoming involved. Visit the Live Life Lighter website for details.

Masonic Choir

Brethren and Ladies are being sought to join the Masonic Choir to sing at the Grand Installation ceremony in Auckland in November. We are hoping to include the ladies who will join with the Choir mainly for the singing of the odes.

Rehearsals are normally held on Sunday afternoons in Lodge premises such as the Papakura Masonic Centre, and are organised as necessary for events.

Music CD

Your Lodge no longer needs to do without the music that can do so much to enhance and enliven your ceremonial. If you have no Organist or if he is unavailable for whatever reason, take advantage of this excellent offer from the Northern Division Music Committee. The CD contains a selection of the most common odes for each of the three Degrees and also Installation ceremonies.

Welcome to the new Freemasons New Zealand Northern Division website. We hope you find the site interesting and useful and if you have any questions feel free to contact us and we will do our best to provide an answer. The site is a work in progress and new material is being added daily, so please check back often.

The Lodge Activities menu on the left of this page allows you to access a calendar of Lodge meeting dates and information for the entire division. It is envisaged that, if there is sufficient interest, this information will be made available in such a way that users of iCal-compliant calendar clients can  subscribe directly to it rather than have to browse it on this website.
